Review mode
Review mode produces an issue ledger, digest, and exports for DOCX or PDF manuscripts so teams can decide what to change — ideal when you need judgment, not silent rewrites.

Review mode is for teams that want judgment first: a prioritized issue ledger, digest, and downloads without silently rewriting the manuscript binary. Humans decide what becomes a tracked change in Word.
Why it exists
Many failures come from accidental rewrites: tone shifts, subtle obligation changes, or “helpful” edits that are wrong but hard to spot in a long file. Review mode keeps the manuscript stable while you triage structured findings.
When it matters most
- Legal and exec comms where nuance matters and partners still redline in Word.
- Any workflow where auditability of “what the software suggested” must be separable from the file.
Where it can be limited
You still need humans to disposition issues, update the manuscript deliberately, and reconcile comments with counterparties. Review mode does not remove Word—it front-loads triage.
Best for / not ideal for
- Best for: triage-led review, exec-sensitive drafts, partner handoff workflows.
- Not ideal for: real-time typing assistance inside the editor (use a drafting copilot for that).
